Copyrighted Material
Can copyrighted materials be digitized? Digitizing media that you already physically own and is for your own personal use falls under the “space shifting” rationale of the fair use doctrine. As you already own the original, and the copy is strictly for personal use, this does not typically harm the market for the original work.
Any digitizing of copyrighted materials will include an agreement stating the physical copy is yours for your own personal use and will not be distributed or shared in any form.
Any copyrighted material will be delivered on a USB, DVD, or CD. Copyrighted materials cannot be shared through OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive or any other cloud-based file sharing platform.
